Guide: How to Access NMX & Performance When the NMX Is Not Showing
Google has acknowledged a bug where NMX (New Merchant Experience) does not appear for some Google Business Profiles (GBP).
Even when the NMX is missing, we can still access most sections, including Edit Profile, Performance & other by using the URL-based workaround.
This guide provides you with a step-by-step method to retrieve those hidden NMX sections.
Understanding the Bug
Some accounts do not show the full NMX interface (no dashboard).
However, Google still loads the NMX behind the scenes, and we can trigger it manually using special URLs.
How to Get the Base URL
Search the business on Google (while logged into the account that has access).
Select the three dots under the Maps, and select the ‘edit your business information’
Once the popup opens, copy the URL from your browser. (Very Important)
It usually looks like this: “https://www.google.com/search?q=business+name+LLC&stick=H4sIAAAAAAAA_-NgU1I1qDAyNjRPNjMwNLFIMzVIMjS0MqgwNbFINDUySDU0MDYyMTU1X8Qq4JGYl1KZm5inYGxmoODj4wwAssc5QzwAAAA&hl=en-GB&mat=CT5BeJtUtAFoElcBTVDHnmGPaKE-xg1KkY352evWqC-ZNCND9By9o32yplwTjmVj1LFtUtgHaHrIL8ibVPqDQde939kh2d3cQA_InfP01lQsDJASmRtnssCQ_C6lnrrkRQo&authuser=0#mpd=editprofile/info”
The red-highlighted section is the base URL for this example, and this is the key.
You will need to locate your own base URL from your account, just like the example shown in the screenshots above.
Accessing Other NMX Sections Using URL Tweaks
Important Note
You must be logged into the same Google account that has access to the business.
Always Open the URL in New Tab
If you’re logged in with the wrong account, the page will not load or will show an error.
